‘Bonkers’ rosé sales in UK driven by four wine brands
The UK rosé market is experiencing explosive growth, with sales up 64% year-on-year to nearly 7 million bottles, according to Nielsen data presented at Wine Paris. However, the surge isn't being driven by prestigious Provence producers. Instead, four budget-friendly brands priced under £10, mostly from Languedoc-Roussillon and the southern Rhône, are capturing the lion's share of growth. These wines offer a similar pale pink appearance and dry, fruity style to Provençal rosés but at a fraction of the cost, making them increasingly appealing to UK shoppers.
