French vineyard prices fall again as Bordeaux leads decline
French vineyard prices have fallen for the second year running, with Bordeaux hardest hit. According to official data, average vineyard values in Bordeaux-Aquitaine dropped 23.8% in 2025, and some of the region's most prestigious appellations fared even worse, with Margaux down 43%. However, it's not all bad news across France, as Burgundy and Champagne bucked the trend with modest price increases, suggesting the market is increasingly split between struggling traditional regions and those that remain in demand.
