Australian wine harvest falls to 25-year low

Australia's wine harvest has hit a 25-year low, dropping to 1.27 million tonnes in 2026, down 19% on the previous year. What's particularly concerning for the industry is that grape prices have fallen 6% despite the much smaller crop, signalling a fundamental shift in global demand rather than a temporary shortage.
